N.A.E.T.

What is N.A.E.T.? N.A.E.T. is short for Nambudripad's Allergy and Elimination Technique. In 1983, Dr. Devi Nambudripad discovered that she could clear and permanently eliminate her own severe allergies by using acupuncture or acupressure while holding the allergen in hand. This began an extensive research developing the technique which is now known as NAET. Over the years not only herself and her family members have been completely cured, she has gone on to treat 1,000's of people suffering from severe allergies, using her new found technique. She has also trained many Doctors, Chiropractors, Naturopaths and Acupuncturists in the revolutionary treatment technique.

The body's miraculous network of the brain, cranial and spinal nerves, autonomic nervous system and vital energy in the meridian pathways, show us the efficient, multi-leveled communication of positive and negative transmissions happening within every cell at all times within the body.

Dr. Nambudripad's foundation in Oriental Medicine and Chiropractic training gives her a broad understanding of the body's energy network and meridian pathways, thus she is able to properly train and expand on the research that is supported and contributed to by NAET practitioners around the world, and is growing every year.

Dr. Nambrudripad's discovery is an innovative, completely natural method for regaining health. With NAET you can be completely and permanently free from allergens and the diseases caused by them.

What is an allergy?

In 1906 an Austrian pediatrician, Clemens Von Perquet, created the word 'allergy' by combining two Greek words, allos (altered) and ergion, (action/reactivity). Thus the word 'allergy' literally means 'altered reactivity'. This is a biological hypersensitivity to any given substance, once the reaction has been set into place by a weakened immune system.

Allergies are most likely to be inherited and can also be congenital depending on the health of the parents at conception, and the mother's and fetus' health during pregnancy.

Various circumstances and situations that occur during the course of a lifetime, such as a work situation or a living environment, a stressful period of time, a diminished diet nutritionally, or a prolonged illness, all can weaken the immune system and create an environment for an allergy to develop.

What is an allergen?

An allergen is anything that the body has developed a hypersensitivity or an 'altered reactivity' to. According to Dr. Nambudripad, allergens are classified into eight basic categories; inhalants, ingestants, contactinats, infectants, physical and genetic agents, molds and fungi.

A person can literally have an allergy to anything or even another person. This is best explained when we look at the cellular structure. When the immune system is working well, the body can defend itself well against foreign substances and the cell wall stays healthy. When circumstances create a stressful environment and the cell wall is weakened or even damaged the immune system is compromised and creates a hypersensitivity to an allergen.

We look at this concept from an Oriental Medical Perspective. It is about blockages of Qi, or energy, created from a weakening of the meridians. The qi in a healthy body moves in a certain vibration. A weakened system can give way to a different vibration, namely the allergen, and thus create an unhealthy vibration in the body.

What is Neural Kinesiology and Neural Emotional Technique and how do they relate to N.A.E.T.?

Over 50 years ago, an advanced form of natural medicine originated in Germany called Neural Therapy and is extensively practiced throughout Europe and Canada today. In the 1940's an American Chiropractor, Dr. George Goodheart, originated a technique called Applied Kinesiology.

In 1992, Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, M.D., Ph. D., and Dr. Louisa Williams, D.C.N.D.M.S., developed Neural Kinesiology, NK by bringing together Neural Therapy and Applied Kinesiology.

Neural Kinesiology focuses on the other factors which can block the energy flow, or the qi. These can be food allergens, toxic chemicals and metals, electro-magnetic stressors, psychological or emotional stressors and even physiological malformations or scar tissues from injuries and surgeries.

NK tests the autonomic nervous system, which is the chief regulator of the normal and abnormal function of the body. It controls the general sensory, motor and innervated organ tissues and cells throughout the entire body. The primary illness of the autonomic nervous system is the chronic toxicity of foci, ganglia, hypofunction, hyperfunction and blocked regulation, or qi.

Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Techniques are built on Oriental Medical Theory and have combined this with NK to bring muscle testing one step further. With the NAET muscle response test both the autonomic nervous system and qi meridans are incorporated, thus the testing is more complete and exact. It is the missing link that various professionals have been searching for  for many years.

The brain registers every movement of every cell in the body at all times. When something causes an energy disturbance in the energy, or qi, pathway, the flow of energy is blocked and normal body functions become imbalanced. These are recorded by the brain through the sensory nerve fibers throughout the body and cause a disturbance in the cell memory, thus dis-ease. The Muscle Response Testing can isolate the invading item or substance and determine what parts of the body are being affected by the unsuitable item. The NAET treatments can then change the message to the brain that the unsuitable item is harmful to the body by clearing both the nervous systems message and the meridian systems message to the brain. Thus the energy pathway is cleared and balance is restored.
